John Simm as
The Master |

The BBC has announced that actor John Simm will be
returning to his role of The Master in
the 2009 Doctor Who Christmas Specials. This two-part adventure
will see David Tennant’s final appearance as the Tenth
Doctor.
John Simm was last seen as The Master
in the 2007 stories "Utopia" and "The
Sound of Drums/Last of the Time Lords" where
at the end he was shot by his wife, Lucy Saxon,
before apparently dying in The Doctor’s arms.
But even though his body was cremated, it seems
that The Master has found another way to cheat
death...
