Doctor Who Charity Event

 TRIBUTE TO DOCTOR WHO Sunday May 19, 2002 - BBC Television Centre, Wood Lane, London W12

 The Heritage Foundation, in association with the BBC, is paying a special tribute to the cult television programme "Doctor Who". Television Heritage blue plaques in memory of the first three Doctors - William Hartnell, Patrick Troughton and Jon Pertwee - will be unveiled at Television Centre on Sunday 19 May at 12 noon.

 The plaque unveiling will be performed by Ingeborg Pertwee and Sylvester McCoy. They are also awaiting confirmation from the other Doctors and members of William Hartnell's and Patrick Troughton's families. Many other celebrities will be present, including several who have appeared in the series. These include Nicholas Courtney, Bill Pertwee, John Challis, Richard Briers OBE, Caroline John, Deborah Watling, Carole Anne Ford, Ann Davis, John Savident, Mark Eden, Burt Kwouk, Jeff Stewart, Nicholas Parsons, Philip Madoc, Harry Fowler MBE, John Inman, Jon Culshaw, Avril Gaynor, Anneke Wills and many more.

 Following the ceremony, there will be a lunch in aid of charity at the Grosvenor House Hotel, Park Lane, which will be attended by many of the actors' families, friends and showbusiness admirers. There will be a cabaret following lunch and an auction of memorabilia.

 Tickets to the lunch were £50 each, including a three course meal with wine.
