| Video Rumours |
 You
may have noticed in your travels on the internet superhighway that
a few Doctor
Who web sites have been speculating about the Doctor Who videos
releases for 2001. Those stories that have
been named so far include: "The
Gunfighters", "The
Ambassadors of Death" and "Four
to Doomsday". Another rumour
is that the BBC are currently working on a special "Master Box Set" featuring
two stories as yet unreleased from the Jon Pertwee era: "Colony
in Space" and
"The
Time Monster". There has even been rumours about a special
Patrick Troughton clips tape with a compilation of remastered episodes
from missing
stories.
As
far as we are aware BBC Video has not yet
definitely confirmed the releases for the
later part of the year
but with very few complete stories still to be released
it is very likely that one or more of the
above will be
chosen. BBC Video may even release Jon Pertwee's 6 part
story "Invasion
of the Dinosaurs" which
was rumoured to be released back in 1999.
It
has also been announced that with the current releasing
of stories on DVD the BBC have no
plans to stop releasing the remaining stories
on VHS.
As
soon as anything official is released by
the BBC we will let you know.
