Doctor Who Awarded Bronze
Industry professionals have recently voted Doctor Who in third place as part of 'The Top 100 Shows in Television History', recognising the good Doctor's iconic place in the public's imagination. Fawlty Towers and Cathy Come Home took first and second place respectively. The only science-fiction competition was the classic Quatermass and the Pit which ranked considerably lower at number 75.

Being awarded third place means that Doctor Who has been rated higher than other classic programmes such as Yes Minister, Monty Python's Flying Circus and I Claudius so demonstrating just how popular Doctor Who is and proving just what a significant impact Doctor Who has had on our television viewing.
