Death
Comes to Time To Be Finished
The BBC's official web site has announced the following:
PRESS RELEASE
Who's
back? The Doctor returns to bbc.co.uk! Fans of the world's best known
time traveller,
Doctor Who, will be delighted to hear the
Timelord will be rematerialising at bbc.co.uk to complete the online
drama Death Comes to Time.
Following
the huge success of pilot episodes first web cast on bbc.co.uk in July
this year,
the BBC has commissioned new episodes to
complete The Doctor's audio adventures in cyberspace. Each episode
will be posted weekly as a real audio file on
www.bbc.co.uk/doctorwho, accompanied by
illustrations from top comic artist, Lee Sullivan.
In this new online epic, fans will follow The Doctor,
weakened by battles against a succession
of enemies and plagued by ominous dreams, continuing his dogged struggle
to save the Universe. Sylvester McCoy
again plays The Doctor, with Sophie Aldred
and Kevin Eldon as his companions, Ace and Antimony. Stephen Fry is
the enigmatic Minister of Chance, John
Sessions returns as the megalomaniac General
Tannis, and Leonard Fenton plays the mischievous Casmus.
Richard Fell, Head of Fictionlab, whose team are
producing the series, said, "The demand for the Doctor Who online pilot was
phenomenal and gave rise to a new form of animated audio drama. Doctor Who fans
have certainly got something to look forward to in the New Year!" Death
Comes to Time will be available at ww.bbc.co.uk/doctorwho in 2002.

|
Producer Dan Freedman has stated that an additional
five episodes will be taped for broadcast online in 2002 and that
