Doctor Who Comes to Portsmouth |
Warsmith,
which is the third Doctor Who themed stage play from the Battered
Suitcase Theatre Company, opens on Wednesday 6th November at the New Theatre
Royal, Guildhall Walk in Portsmouth. It has been written and is directed by Ian
Wheeler and stars actor Mike O'Doherty playing the part of The Doctor.
Their previous two plays, "Hellblossom" and "Vox Dei," have
met with critical success in the past. As announced by the Battered Suitcase
Theatre Company The Doctor has been:
"Summoned to the war torn Earth
of the 1940s by the daughter of a previous Companion, The Doctor must solve the
mysterious abduction of scientists from the Top Secret research facility at
Bletchely Park. What is happening? How is it all connected with one of The Doctor's current companions, the exiled Prince Karnak of the Jocastan Imperium?
Can The Doctor prevent an evil from the stars from perverting the course of
Earth's history forever?"
Performances are planed for: Wednesday 6th to
Saturday 9th November 2002 at 7.45pm with a Saturday matinee starting at
3pm.
