Bonnie Langford Returns to Doctor Who

 Big Finish Productions, who produce the Doctor Who audio stories under license from the BBC, will be releasing another Seventh Doctor story called "The Fires of Vulcan". This story will herald, after an absence of 14 years in the show, Bonnie Langford in the role of Melanie Bush. Also starring will be actress Gemma Bissix who played Nigel Bates' adopted daughter Claire in Eastenders.

  Written by Steve Lyons it has a release date of September 2000. It is also understood that Bonnie Langford enjoyed her return to Doctor Who so much that she is keen for Melanie to have a quick return to this range of audio stories.
