BBC2 Repeats are no more
The Tom Baker story "Genesis of the Daleks", which finished its six episode run on Tuesday 29th Feb, appears to be the final story to be shown in BBC2's repeat schedule.

According to the Radio Times no more Doctor Who stories are being shown on Tuesday evenings. At first this may have been just a temporary pause but it now seems that this is more permament.

This is a great dissapointment especially considering only 3 stories ("Spearhead From Space", "Doctor Who and the Silurians" and "Genesis of the Daleks") have been shown so far. It seems far to soon for the BBC to consider cancelling the repeats especially as it has just started showing Blakes Seven on Saturday afternoons. Personally I was really looking forward to seeing "Colony in Space" and even a black & white version of "The Ambassadors of Death" both of which have not been released on video yet.

According to the BBC this is due to lower than expected viewing figures hence the jump to the classic Fourth Doctor Dalek story to try and generate more interest. Unfortunetly this proved not to work and so the repeat run was cancelled.

Exactly what is planned for any future schedule and if any further stories at all will be shown in the future is unclear.
